 Welcome to my site!
I am one of three Instructional Technologists for Berkeley County School District. As an Instructional Technologist, I am housed at the District Office and fall under the supervision of the Division of Academic Services. I serve schools in the district by working with educators in regards to classroom instruction and technology. BCSD teachers apply technology to their instruction in a variety of ways which range from use of the SMART Board interactive whiteboard to podcasting with programs like Audacity. In addition to working with schools, I provide professional development opportunities by working closely with the Office of Staff Development and district coordinators. When not providing staff development, I collaborate with Library Media Specialists, create digital content for instruction, or develop materials to support curriculum. While I enjoy all aspects of tech that I have the chance to work with, my nerdy passion is to work with video. Outside of Berkeley County, I have opportunities to work with other educators as a SMART Exemplary Educator and as the Blog Coordinator for South Carolina's Leadership Council and STAR Educator of the Discovery Educator Network. I have also had the honor of being selected as one of TechSmith's Top 20 Educators to Watch (download the full document to read more about other educators here).
