 Welcome to my site!
I am an Instructional Technologist for Berkeley County School District. As an Instructional Technologist, I am housed at Devon Forest Elementary school, and fall under the supervision of the Division of Academic Services. I serve fourteen schools in the district by working with educators in regards to classroom instruction and technology. BCSD teachers apply technology to their instruction in a variety of ways which range from use of the SMART Board interactive whiteboard to podcasting with programs like Audacity.
In addition to working with specific schools within my district, I provide professional development opportunities by working closely with the Office of Staff Development. While I enjoy assisting teachers with SMART Board resources, my favorite thing to do is work with multimedia and digital storytelling. Outside of Berkeley County, I have opportunities to work with other educators as a SMART Exemplary Educator and as the Blog Coordinator for South Carolina's Leadership Council and STAR Educator of the Discovery Educators Network.
