General Information
During the week of April 4th thru April 9th, we would like you and your team to help us celebrate the 41st Annual Hanahan Invitational Tournament, or HIT as it is more commonly known across the country. Once again we will host a field of 32 teams for a week of great baseball. In addition to our Varsity HIT, we will also host our 11th annual JV HIT during that same week. This year we will hopefully expand to a 16 team format for the JV HIT.
41st Annual Varsity H.I.T.
• Registration Fee: $300 ($350 after December 1st, 2009) We will provide the baseball's!!
• Play: All teams are guaranteed 3 site games (weather permitting). Other games are available upon request. The majority of the games are played at 5:15 pm and 7:30 pm, except on Championship Friday.
11th Annual JV H.I.T
• Registration Fee: $250($300 after December 1st, 2009) We will provide the baseballs!!
• Play: All teams are guaranteed at least 3 site games (weather permitting). Site winners advance to the playoff round. All games are played in the morning.
Lodging: Due to the busy Spring events schedule in the Charleston area, I recommend that you make your reservations as soon as possible. Be sure to let the Motel/Hotel know you are playing in the HIT.
T-Shirts: We will mail out another packet with the T-shirt information.
Tournament Gate Passes
Three-day tournament gate passes can be purchased in advance on Sunday, April 4, 2009 or at any of the sites on Monday afternoon, April 5th. These passes will be sold for $12.00, and are good for site games only. Regular admission will be $5.00 per day for adults and children over 3 years old. Separate site passes and daily admission tickets are required for the Varsity and JV tournaments.Participant Passes Participant passes are distributed to all coaches, players, managers, and trainers listed on the team roster. Passes will be distributed to each team on Sunday, April 5th, or at the coaches meeting. If additional passes are needed, please contact the Tournament Director, Brian Mitchell @ 843-991-4236. Participant passes should be carried at all time and will entitle participants to the following:

Outside Concessions: Because our sites rely on the revenues from concession to maintain their facilities and programs, no outside concessions are allowed. Please instruct your parents and fans on this matter so that our gatekeepers are not placed in a confrontational situation.
Rained Out Games: Each team is guaranteed 3 site games during the tournament, weather permitting. Our goal is to play all games, and decide the site winners on the field. In the event of rain the Site Director has the sole authority to reschedule the site make up games, as long as the site schedule does not conflict with the tournament playoff schedule. The Tournament Director has the sole authority to determine a site winner in the event that rain will not allow a clear site winner to be determined.
Non-tournament Games: Many teams wish to play scrimmages outside of the tournament play. If you have difficulty scheduling games we will be glad to assist you. The two teams playing shall furnish the umpires fees and baseballs. Umpire fees are $60.00.
Emergency Situations: In the event that you may need to be reached please be sure that your Tournament and Site Directors know where you are staying while in Charleston, and phone number where you may be reached.
